The State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has released two official notifications related to the recruitment of 12,600 Class-III and Class-IV posts in accordance with the Assam Direct Recruitment for Class-III and Class-IV Analogous Posts Rules 2022. The online application process for Assam Direct Recruitment 2023 will commence on 10th November 2023. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications through the official SLRC website.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed the Bachelor’s Degree with a Computer Certificate/ Diploma of a minimum 6 months duration can apply online for these posts.
Grade-III (Category-II)
Name of Posts: Field Assistant, Fieldman, Foreman, Section Assistant, Soil Conservation Field Worker Junior, Agriculture Extension Officer, etc.
No of Posts: 3,127 Posts
Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent can apply online for these posts. (For some posts, candidates should be class 12th passed from the science stream.)
Grade-III (Category-III)
Name of Post: Driver
No of Posts: 418 Posts
Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent can apply online for these posts.
Other Eligibility Criteria of ADR
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must have a valid employment exchange registration number of Assam to be eligible for this recruitment.
Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as of 1st January 2023.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise upper age relaxation will be as follows.

Selection Process of Assam Direct Recruitment
The commission will conduct separate examinations for various post categories. These exams will be scheduled on different dates to allow candidates with higher qualifications to appear for multiple examinations. Additional details about the selection process are provided in this section.
Bachelor’s Degree Level
The commission will conduct a separate examination based on the following eligibility qualifications for each post.
➡Bachelor’s Degree. |

➡Bachelor’s Degree in Science. |
➡Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce. |
➡Bachelor’s Degree with Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics. |
Candidates applying for graduate-level posts will be required to take a written test, which will have the following structure.
Type of Exam: Written Examination (OMR)
Duration of Exam: 2 Hours (120 Minutes)
Medium of Exam: Assamese, Bodo, English and Hindi
Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
No of Questions: 100 MCQs
Total Marks: 175 Marks

Centres of Exam: The examination centres shall be as decided by the commission depending upon the number of candidates.
Stage 2 (Skill Test)
Candidates who have submitted applications for graduate-level posts and are shortlisted based on their performance in the written test will have to undergo a skill test as the second stage of the selection process.
Type of Exam: Computer Test or Other Test or Interview
Total Marks: 25 Marks
Class 12th Level
The commission will conduct a separate examination based on the following eligibility qualifications for each post.
➡Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examination Passed. |
➡Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examination Passed with Computer Skill. |
➡Higher Secondary of Equivalent Examination Passed in Science |
Stage 1 (Written Exam)

Stage 1 (Written Exam)
Candidates applying for class 8th and 10 level posts will be required to take a written test, which will have the following structure.

Duration of Exam: 2 Hours (120 Minutes)
Medium of Exam: Assamese, Bodo, English and Hindi
Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

Stage 2 (Skill Test)
The candidates who have submitted the application for the class 8th and 10th level posts will have to appear in a type of skill test as the second stage of the selection process.
Type of Exam: Driving Test or Interview
Total Marks: 05 Marks
Merit List
On the basis of the marks obtained in the written examination and the interview or the skill test, a list of shortlisted candidates shall be prepared in order of merit. The commission shall determine minimum qualifying marks for computer tests/ other tests/ practical tests. Candidates securing less than the qualifying marks in the computer test/ other test/ practical test shall not be eligible for selection.
