Assam Police Sub Inspector (SI) As of January 1, 2023, the candidate should be no older than 20 years old and no older than 26 years old. (The candidate must have been born on or after 1997 and before 2003).

TEST IN WRITING:-
The written exam will have 100 possible marks and be totally OMR-based.
Each of the 100 questions will be worth one mark. For each unsatisfactory response, one point will be taken off the final score. There will be three parts to the questions. Components
(i) Reasoning logically, aptitude, and comprehension of English
(ii) Historical topics as well as Indian and Assamese cultures, as well as
(iii) general knowledge. Candidates will don black or Use a dark blue ballpoint pen to fill out the OMR-based answer sheet.

40 marks on the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The Physical Efficiency Test will be worth 40 Marks. It will consist of 2 (two) events, namely.
a) A 1600-meter race for men and an 800-meter race for women.
b) Long Jump - 335 cm (minimum) for Males and 244 cm (minimum) for Females, 3
chances (the longest valid jump will be taken into account).
Male Candidates-
A) Race: PST qualifiers must run in the 1600-meter event to be eligible.

ORAL / VIVA-VOCE: Up to 5 Marks
According to the number of openings mentioned in Paragraph I above, candidates will be invited for the oral or viva-voce test at a rate of two times each, on the basis of merit determined by the combined marks earned in the written test and physical efficiency test (PET). Candidates may be called for the oral/viva-voce if they receive the same grade as the last candidate chosen by the two times formula in a given case. As a result, the number may go beyond two times in that case and category only if multiple candidates receive the same grade.
