Note:The time allotment for subjects denoted by an asterisk (*) is 2 hours. The exam is planned to run from 9 AM to 11 AM for the morning shift and from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM for the evening shift.

Important SEBA Routine Notes

a) Five minutes extra time is permitted to read the question paper only from 8:55 AM to 9:00 AM in the morning shift and from 1:25 PM to 1:30 PM in the afternoon shift. The Officer-in-Charge will make the appropriate arrangements for Question Paper distribution.

b)Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, Manipuri, Hmar, Nepali, Mizo, Khasi, Garo, Kabri, and Urdu are examples of Modern Indian Languages (MIL).

c) Elective Languages (Time 3 Hours) and In Lieu Languages (Time 2 Hours): For each language, Assamese (E), Hindi (E), Manipuri (E), and Santhali (E), there will be a common question paper with groups A and B. Candidates for elective subjects must appear in both groups A and B, however candidates for in-lieu languages must only appear in group A. In this case, the in-lieu languages will be Assamese (IL), Hindi (IL), Manipuri (IL), and Santhali (IL).

Note: Examination of all the above Practical subjects will be held in the Examination Centre from where the Candidates appear in theory subjects for the same. This year the Practical Examination will NOT be held in Venues.

Form Filling for the SEBA HSLC Exam

Students are required to finish the SEBA Online Form Fill-Up process with the help of their respective institutions. Students can only take part in the Assam HSLC Exam after finishing the form-filling process. On September 26, 2023, the board officially announced the opening of the application period for the Assam HSLC Exam 2024. This official notification states that the form-filling procedure will take place between October 9 and October 31, 2023.
