SBI Recruitment's Process of Selection

Probationary Officer candidates will be chosen through a preliminary exam, main exam, and psychometric test.

preliminary assessment

The preliminary test, which consists of 100-point Objective Tests, will be given online. This test would last an hour and cover the following three topics.

Name of Subject Questions: Number Language: English; Running Time: 30:2020 minutes of quantitative Aptitude Thinking Skills3.520 hours10060 minutes in total

As previously noted, each exam will have an own schedule. In the Objective tests, incorrect answers will result in a deduction of points. Each incorrect response will result in a deduction of one-fourth of the overall score for that question. Both individual examinations and aggregate results are not required to meet any minimal standards.

Principal Exam

The main exam will be given online and will include a Descriptive Test for 50 marks in addition to 200-point Objective Tests. Following the completion of the Objective Test, the Descriptive Test will be given, and applicants will be required to write their responses into a computer.

Each incorrect response will result in a deduction of one-fourth of the overall score for that question. For either separate tests OR the combined examination, there is no minimum passing score requirement.

Test Psychometric

Candidates who are selected for Phase III may take a psychometric test to determine their personality types. The exam results may be presented to the interview panel so they may have a full understanding of the applicants.

Last Decision

The candidates will need to meet the requirements for both Phases II and III independently. The scores from the Objective Test and Descriptive Test from the Main Examination (Phase II) will be combined with the scores from Phase III to create the final merit list. The Preliminary Examination (Phase I) scores won't be taken into account when creating the final merit list for selection.
